Black Glutinous Porridge with Coconut Milk

1 cup of black glutinous rice (about 140 gm)  –  wash and soak overnight.
100 gm of coconut sugar (‘Gula Melaka’)
4-5 pieces of pandan leaves
1 small bowl of coconut milk
6 bowls of water

1) Boil water. Add black glutinous rice and pandan leaves gradually to the boiling water. When this boils, turn to small fire and cook for about 3 hours.
2) Cook glutinous rice till it turns thick and sticky. Add in ‘Gula Melaka’ and cook for a little while.
3) When ready, serve glutinous rice with coconut milk according to taste.
